Bicycles

1989 – Bridgestone RB-1

Restoration of a 1989 Bridgestone RB-1 road racing bicycle.

1976 – Schwinn Super LeTour (12.2)

Renovated 1976 Schwinn Super LeTour (58cm), ca. 2026, prior to rider fitting.

Alteration and renovation of a one-owner 1976 Schwinn Super LeTour (model SL-3) mid-range leisure bicycle, adapted to fully embrace leisurely riding on varied road surfaces.

1984 – SR Maxima

Renovating a relatively unknown brand of top-of-the-line, high-quality steel frame from the 1980s.

1988 – Schwinn Prelude

A modest alteration from entry-level road racing bicycle to fun two-speed adventure bicycle.

2024 – Rogue Rabbit Roundabout

Rogue Rabbit Roundabout bicycle (51cm), ca. 2024, prior to rider fitting.

A comfortable, responsive road bicycle. Custom frame is built with Columbus SP tubing and Long Shen lugs, Shimano SFR dropouts. The fork is built with a stainless steel Long Shen fork crown, Tange Prestige fork blades, and Shimano SF fork ends.

1990s – Paletti

Repair and restoration of a crash-damaged Paletti road racing frame equipped with Campagnolo Record components (ca. 2004).

2006 – American Blue

2006 custom “American Blue” in the wild: Geronimo, California, ca. 2007.

A custom bicycle built to see whether I could recreate the handling, road feel, and climbing ability of a 1985 3Rensho Super Record. It is built for practice, learning, and quite a lot of fun.
